About Me
I’m
a Sports Journalist who covers just about every sport in South Africa.
As you’d probably expect, I’m generally out-numbered
by my male colleagues. But I like to think that my ‘femaleness’
brings about a slightly different take on the world of sport.
I was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, where most
people are friendly, peace-loving folk (I’m an optimist, okay?).
Our passion is sport; it unites us and gives us a brief taste of
patriotism, which lasts for as long as we’re winning.
My earliest and most profound sporting memory? The 1995 Rugby World
Cup. Nelson Mandela. Francois Pienaar. Joel Stransky (three people
I’ve been fortunate enough to meet).
Need I say more?
I’m passionate about South African rugby, cricket, soccer
and I’m madly in love with Arsenal Football Club. |
